I feel like I'm at a bit of a disadvantage (more than the usual for a newbie) in this challenge. I want to use a wide aperture for this, but my little camera won't allow a wide aperture when zoomed the small amount of zoom I even get with my A95.
So just now during my lunch hour I decided to go out & hunt some unsuspecting people in Toronto's China Town area along Spadina. One poor woman at a stand noticed me, grabbed a magazine, covered her face, and skidaddled. Numerous others were pretty nervous about my presence. Maybe they thought I was Immigration?
I decided to plant myself at the end of a construction shelter, pretend like I was concentrating on the architecture of the sidewalk, pre-focus on a point near myself, and wait for people to walk by, then snap.
I didn't get beaten up, or carted away by the authorities today, but I had the feeling I was close.
I went into science because I'm not a people-person, but I'm trying for this challenge & hopefully I'll grow from it in some way, just hopefully not grow a black eye.
Sorry, just wanted to share.
