There is a saying in life, "you can't choose your own nickname"
Any one who ever has ends up getting mocked like crazy.
But what if you could go back in time and pick your nickname? what would it be(no screen names)?

example nick name types
a. the followed by a word(or name) and "ster" after it. eg. the hipster, the fredster

b. muffler shop guy names. in a muffler shop, the guy behind the counter calls you, eg. chief, cochise, buddy, pal, guy, doctor, etc.

c. hihphop names, proceeded by "dj" or "mc" eg. "DJ snapsalot" "MC shutterbox"

d. the followed by a word or letter and then "man eg. the "z" man etc. the mailman (karl malone)(he delivers)

mine would personally be "Nighttrain"

I had a bf that used to call me boo. (long before Monsters Inc. was out) As a term of endearment Iâm rather fond of it. Much better then babe, honey, sweetheart, cutie, hunâ¦all the sugary icky ones.

Edit to add secret desire:

What I really would like to do, rather then have a nickname of choice, is to always refer to myself in the third person.

Lindsey thinks people who do that are funny.

You should add blindjustice's suggestions to your own desires, then you could say, "Chief MC Lindsey-ster-man thinks people who do that are funny."

I don't know phreakon, do you think I could carry that off? I wouldn't want people to think I was being ostentatious ;)

This probably is not in the spirit of this thread, but me being deaf and all, people started to call me "Music" in the 60's, and that's the genesis of the bear_music name...

I always liked how the Queen speaks for the state, kinda gives her the multiple personality edge.

Actualy, I picked my own nickname quite a few years ago while I was the Auto Host on San Diego's #1 Website (was sandiegoinsider.com, now sdinsider.com)
One day it just fell in place: The Lugnut
(link to some of the articles i had written way back then)

Oh and yes, I have LUGNUT as my license plate too.
LOL
