Dear friends,
Hi Wish everything is going well with you all. i am looking forward to buying a new Canon EOS 20D and am eager to know where i can find this camera with the least price and beside what lens to start with. I am sure there have been threads regarding this issue but i couldn't find them :( .
Looking forward to hearing your precious recommendations.

Soheil...
If you don't mind purchasing your camera on the internet(and I know this is opening up a huge can of worms, as people will be listing all the pros and cons of on-line shopping) then your best bet is to do a search for the Canon 20D and then when you find the best prices, choose from the dealers that have the best feed-back rating. You'll be alright. That is how I got mine. I actually got my 20D from 47th Street Photo in NYC, but there might be better deals out there now. That was nearly 6 months ago. As for the lens, that all depends on what kind of photography you do. The camera comes with a nice wide-angle zoom lens, which is what I use most of the time any way. If you happen to have a Canon EOS 35mm camera now, your lens will work on your new camera as well. I hope that has helped a little. Good luck with your shopping and welcome to the 20D club! |

Hi Soheil,
If price is the most important thing, then you can just go to //www.pricegrabber.com and search for Canon 20D. Also, //www.techbargains.com always lists the lowest prices and any available rebates for electronic equipment, including digital cameras and media cards. Good luck!

I see that you are based in Iran. I do not know what restrictions you may face on importing goods, or how your import duty system works. However, there are good bargains to be had by importing direct from Hong Kong via E-Bay. There are two or three major camera sellers with thousands of positive recommendations, who seem trustworthy. I bought my 20D from "Digital Rev" via E-Bay and had absolutely no complaints - very fast and helpful.

since you don´t mention any budget, then I´d say get the 24-70L f2.8 as a starting lens :) |

I think the 17-85 IS lens would suit anyone very well as a walkaround lens. Might want the 50 F1.4 later for low-light. |
