I've tried many times to get a trail of steam coming up from my teapot but even though I can see it in real life when I take the picture the steam doesn't look very pronouced. What is the trick to this? |

In a word, lighting. Make sure the light is coming from the side, and use a dark background. The more light you can get on the steam, the better it will show up.

I would think smoke would work better

Are you saying light a fire in my teapot? :) That could make for some interesting shots :)
I will try moving my light, perhaps getting a stronger light source too will make all the difference. I'll see what happens |
