Hey guys,

Just got home and was excited at looking at some pics from my 20D's work. But i can't seem to be able to open the raw pictures in photoshop. The CR2 files to be precise. Am i missing something?

Nevermind, i just answered my own question. Just needed to update my Adobe raw file reader to 4.2.

I'll just shut up and go hide in a corner somewhere now. Sorry to waste you'all's time.

Cheers,

If you install the Digital Photo Professional that comes with the camera, you can view thumbnails of your raw photos in that.

I tried installing the new 4.2, but my rebel xt cr2 files still can't be read by PS. Is there anything to do, or just wait for a new update from adobe?

According to Canon the only thing you can do until they release the update for the 350D .CR2 files is convert it to TIFF in the canon software and then open in PS. ugggggggggg

suckfest 2005!!!

I guess I will still be shooting .jpg. I am not so sure about that raw stuff yet anyway. I played with the program that came with the camera, but it is a little cheezy.

What I do is save as Raw and JPG. small at the lowest resolution. That way I have my raw files and the JPG.s save right next to them and act as thumbs. The JPG. files are very small and don't seem to slow down the camera.
