My daughters are in several dance recitals over the next 4 weekends. I am going to attempt shooting their individual dances. I can get fairly close, with a tripod setup, but in no way can a flash be used.
I would appreciate information regarding your thoughts on settings
fstop, iso, shutter. to obtain the best results.
Thanks in advance

From what I've seen, you'll probably want to shoot at either 800 or 1600 ISO. If you can get close, you can probably have a more open aperature (2.8 would be ideal?), since you don't have to worry about zooming in so much or mucking up DOF as badly. The AF might have a time hunting if the lighting isn't great, so I'd recommend trying to at *least* achieve a shutter of 1/100 or up. (although on a tripod, this won't be so important).
I'm sure other people can offer much more than I though.

Thanks Glen...
I am going to try to keep the iso around or below 800 to keep the grain to a minimum |

What lens are you planning to use?

Understandable, but I do believe that the D70 can do some really nice low-noise 1600 work.. depending.
