I was out looking for a cool chart that canon has showing the difference (intended use) of dSLR and P&S's for a thread going on now and ended up on the Canon Digital Learning Center site...haven't been there in a while and it is much improved...If you haven't been there in a while you need to check it out...they even have lessons for the Rebel XT already...

Anyways I also found that they have Digital Rebel Photo contest going on right now open only to Digital Rebels and Rebel XT's (sorry guys and gals US Residents 21 > where 51% of their total income is not earned by photography)

...1st prize badasser 20D with an EFS-60mm f/2.8...you have til June 30th.

Contest Main Page Here...

For the rest of us... the Canon Digital Learning Center is much improved and worth a revisit. Canon DLC

that contest says that you have to enter a "baseline" jpg. What does that mean? can you edit?

You can still edit. Just save it in Photoshop as a jpeg and make sure "baseline standard" is selected.
