I think this has been asked before but i can't find the thread... whats an easy software to create a Dvd with photos that actually works on a Dvd player. Easy with nice things to create the menus and bakgrounds.

| I use Pinnacle Studio 9, but Photo Story 3 isn't bad either.... and it's FREE!!!! |

How about for use on CD players?

I think the easiest there is is iDVD on the Mac. You can create a broadcast quality DVD entirely from within the program, as all your media (photos, slideshow/movie and music) is synced into it, transitions, titles, what have you.

Perhaps you can borrow one for the project, save time and end up with a slick presentation. :-)

Ditto. This is my fave.
The thing I really like about using this package is that, from the same set of files, I can make a DVD or a screen saver or a windows executable.
I much prefer the higher quality I can get from an executable (where I can get high res pictures), but not everyone has a computer. So I also offer my presentations in DVD format as well. (everyone here realizes that the screen resolution of a TV is far below what everyone, not just the uber-geeks, have on their computers, right?)
It also has some really nice motion effects and tons of fades.

Including the ever-popular Ken Burns effect. I too own and enjoy using this software, though I've never created a DVD with it. |

| MemoriesOnTV works very well--does it all, including the Ken Burns Effect, automatically, though you can also select manually what effects to use. |

For what its worth, I use Screenblast Movie Studio. Really enjoy it.
I have authored a few custom made safety videos. The videos I created in the past have been a mixture of video shots and still pics. The last one I did was all still shots. Lots of good special effects (dont get carried away), ability to add sound, voice and music. Renders to a DVD format fairly good.

I have a DV Plus Honestech , it comes with a bundle and it is cheap to download..Photo & Movie Magic suite and Hp memory disk creator though it doesnt work with some DVD players...
