My family and I visited coastal North Carolina this past week and here are a few images... I would love some feedback on which are favorites and any editing critiques. I plan to add more after the current challenges are over. Thanks... and Click ----> Spring Break Images

First time I ever seen a goose wading in split pea soup. Very cool!

I really love the texture and tight framing of this shot. Pelicans are such interesting looking birds.

Good work aerogurl. I'd say you had a pretty decent vacation. I think I like the surfer best, but lots of nice ones. Your "Crane" in 9705 is really a Great Blue Heron and the goose in the pea soup is a Canada goose. The black headed gull looks grainy, was it heavily cropped? 9778 & 9878 look just a wee bit tilted.

Someone said "Good content/composition (in my humble opinion), but the entire photo seems a bit on the "green" side. You can probably alter some of the areas of color through editing (add some blue, red to create variation of the green color - especially in the water). Nice photo!"

Any opinions on this editing?

or the reedited one:

I think the greeny one is better, the edited one looks too muddy.

Regarding the comment, a technically well done shot with two contrasting colours often proves to be more visually stimulating than a similar image with one colour.

I recently saw a movie on a friends TV (with the colour saturation up way too high, so colour stood out more than normal). I noticed that evry shot had major elements with two contrasting colours, e.g. red haired guy in orange shirt with lots of green light on other major elements. Movie is called intermission, starring Colin Farrel (if you're interested)
