Looks like Canon has another winner. A virtual pat on the back for Canon engineers.
/not the camera for me though... |

Looks good. To bad that it appears Nikon will not do as well with their latest non-upgrade. If Canon ever places direct controls for ISO, WB, etc. on outside button controls that you can see in the viewfinder or status LCD they will be completly unbeatable. That was the main decider for me with the D70, it is just so easy to change things on the fly. But I would love to have the lower noise. Can't have everything I guess.
Good job Canon. Get off you duff Nikon.

I think this seems to be Canon's game plan.
D1 and D1s get their own sensors 1.3x and FF.
Midrange (20D) is introduced first with Magnesium body and full features for $1500
Rebel is then introduced about 1/2 year later for $1000 with some decontenting, plastic body, slightly slower performance, but same imaging capacity.
Looks like I'll either be buying the 30D or the Rebel 400. Hope the prices start to go down as I'm not sure they can improve performance by much more, then I could be wrong.
