A tree challenge.
Make one tree the main focus of your photo

Priceless: Similar to the credit card commercial that breaks down the cost of various components required to achieve an end result that is “priceless.” Let’s see your version of the same concept! And please everyone don’t breakdown the cost of your camera equipment =)

Could a shot entered in a Priceless challenge have some text in it like (Caution: gender perjorative humor and minor nudity) this one ?

Many good suggestions in this thread. Lost in Thought would be my first choice.

"Lost in Thought – Candid shot of a person(s) lost in thought or detached mentally from their surroundings."

Eccentricity: Go out there and seek the odd! Everyone knows a colourful character or a building that’s sticks out like a sore thumb, show us your best example of the something that deviates from the norm.

3 more, I'm addicted.

Larger than Life – Surpassing the ordinary especially in size or scale

When I grow upâ€Â¦. Fill in the blank

Time Capsule: 100 years is a long time. Who knows what the world will look like then? But the real question is, how would you like the people of the future to see our world? Take a photo to represent this time, in a 100 years time.

Lost in Thought and Childhood memories sounds like great challenges and would allow for many different views from people!

I like all 3 of these. Especially the last one, since I just moved into my new home and I need to do something like that anyway for a personal time capsule.

I really like all these ideas - I especially like having a gnome (sp?) of some sort in your hometown. To make it easier for international audience... the gnome could be anything that represents a gnome... a teddy bear, a lawn ornament, etc. But it has to look "put" in a travel photo. Would be quite fun to see the results.

How about a "Shadow" Challenge. Where the main focus of the image is the shadow of an object, not the object itself.

or, in keeping with some of this thread, have a
"Silly Signs" Challenge.
Not to be confused with Road Signs Challenge, find a silly/funny sign and photograph it. Private property signs as well as public signs.

Love the Shadows suggestion! I wonder if anyone that decides the challenges has read this thread?

I like thinking up challenges almost as much as participating. I have a new list to add to here, just as soon as I figure out where I left it.
