My first DQ is in the Ducky challenge.
This image has been disqualified for the following reason:
You must have exactly 5 green grapes in the photograph.
There were 5 grapes but something was wrong with them.
Not really concerned but still not very happy :(

Having that block of red text on the home page stands out like a sore thumb huh?
If you want, we put up our DQ'd Ducky shots for a chuckle in this thread:

Let's see whatcha' did/didn't do.
Edit to add: I didn't read your post carefully enough, and just now saw "but still not very happy". Sorry about that.

Sad to hear that. No one knows when anyone of us will be dq. I imagine the pain. But you know, I started shooting an entry for accidental and later realized that it was basic editing. Well, back to the set up.
Important thing is not to lose spirit. |

I had to scrap 3 sessions of shots I did after I reviewed them and re-read the challenge rules before I start post-proc'ing any of them. I had to print out the challenge rules and make a checklist of each meticulous detail. I probably shot more pics for that challenge than any other.
That said, I am glad when the rules are enforced. I can't tell you how many times in various competitions (not DPC related) that the rules will be strictly enforced and so I spend twice as long preparing as anyone else only to have them "relax" the rules and I get beat by what should have been disqualified entries.
...so post the duck shot and get some opinions. heck, I might even have been the one to request the DQ. ;-) |

Heck, it was probably me that requested the DQ LOL. I had/have no duck in the race (or in the hosue for that matter) so I went storming through the entries INUNDATING SC with DQ requests, as my part of the April foolery.

(I also voted, of course. I LOVE the challenge.)
