Can someone please explain to me about the 300D back focus issue I see mentioned on here! I am finding that my camera has a slight focus problem and am wondering if it pertains to this! Even when the camera says it is in focus, I am finding that they are not, and are quite noticeable whether I use by hand or tripod! It doesn't happen all the time, I'd say probably about 85% of the shots I take can be quite soft with their focus. It doesn't seem to make a difference with the 3 different lenses I have either. Is it a recognised problem with the cameras and is it easily fixed (I have 4 years extended warranty on my camera!) Is there a test I can do to see if there is a back focus problem or maybe it's something else? Can someone please shed some light?

Here is the test - you can (and should) do it
//www.photo.net/learn/focustest/

From some searching and reading there have been reports of focus issues - read the above link and check back.

Thanks for this Prof Fate! This is just what I'm looking for! I'll try it out and see what I end up with later tonight! As I said, I'm finding they are just slightly out and it's really getting annoying, especially when I'm trying to do larger prints!

Thanks mate!

//www.cps.canon-europe.com/kb/detail.jsp?faqId=1070 is another one i found. I still like the photonet one, but as least here you can do what Canon does.
