I had to ask my teenage son what ROFL meant. I'm not very fluent in PMese yet. Silly me...I thought it had something to do with barfing. But, barf stories have a way of sending me to floor to roll around and laugh. Which brings me to the point of this post: on this April Fools Day, I'd love to read one of your favorite ROFL stories/jokes or see one of your favorite ROFL photos (a tougher challenge in my estimation).

Here's a ROFL story my wife read to me just two nights ago:

(WARNING! CONTENTS MAY UPSET CONTENTS OF ANYONE EATING)

"Once in school, going down to lunch from our third-floor classroom, Valentino Vail had leaned over the banister without warning and loosed a cataract of orange vomit. The stairway was the usual open stack and Valentino's breakfast just dropped forever, three stories down, touching a good number of lives as it rocketed past and hitting the basement tile with a sound zookeepers must hear sometimes, around the elephants. I was right behind Valentino and saw it all--an astonishing puke that was discussed for days." (from Peace Like a River, by Leif Enger, [Grove Press: 2001; pg. 86])

Speaking of PMs, have you received any from me lately?

Apparently you're not going to reply, even to this post. What's wrong charliebaker, did my critique of your photo make you angry, or is it something else?

To Micknewton:
Sorry not to reply on this post. I did send a PM to you with a reply. My PM send and receive must be messed up. I've received no PM's from anyone. Dunno...
Thanks for your comments on other challenges though. I appreciate your photography greatly!

Well, that certainly is nice to know. With me it's often hard to tell. I seem to have a real knack for pissing people off, without even trying. :)

It's too bad that DPC lost the PM that I sent you. I expended a considerable amount of effort writing about the meaning behind your photo "Benedictus" from the Surrealism challenge.

Oh well...
