Am I right in thinking that members challenges are harder scoring than open ones?
Only that my first members challenge is with an image I really like and technically competent and relevant, but barely scoring better (0.1 point better) than my image in the open challenge, where I can see a million faults!
Cheers. |

really??? i always thought member challenges tended to be higher scoring than open due to the lower entry numbers and since only members can vote there would be less trolls.

Agree with Nico Blue... members tend to be better at recognising good work/ have more time to look at less. |

A quick look at the recent challenges show the winning scores (Open vs Member) is roughly equal but the average scores are consistently higher for member challenges (about 5.0 vs 5.5).
Why?
Better photographs from members (on average)
Members vote higher than others?
Fewer weak photoĂ¢€™s entered?
I would like the stats to show the votes not by Camera/No-Camera but by Member/Non-Member. |
