In that case, no ;)

If my interpretation means anything, then I see it as we are restricted to actual letters and not numbers. A previous challenge Natural Numbers was strictly a numbers challenge.

However, I would like to bring up a slight problem I had thought of -- and if any SC see this I think that some clarification is necessary. Although the majority of users use Latin characters, there is quite a population whose "letters" are different than others. What of this demographic?

Thanks,
Lee

Which letter do you think you will see the least of?

I think "Q".

Oh, VERY good point! The Cyrillic alphabet, the Chinese and Japanese ideograms, the exotic-looking "scripts" of the Arabic languages... What about 'em?

I say there should be an honorable mention ribbon to somebody who can find a natural "DPC" on a tree trunk or whatever.

Tell your son the tree's just average, good he saw it but so will a ton of other people of course. The snake, on the oither hand, is an absolute stone killer "G" and I'll give him an 8 for it.

Love the snake - crazy angle, but very recognisable! I see that I will have to raise my game for this challenge! - 8

Is THIS the guy who took those great letter photos? I would score the "Y" a 7 and the "G" an 8 or 9. A future DPC ribbon winner, for sure!

Actually, you may be able to register your young photographer - check this thread for more info.

While I was in this thread it got me to thinking (I know that's dangerous ) - any takers on what the most popular letter will be for this challenge?

If I'm at the risk of improperly hijacking this thread perhaps a new one could be started...

Hmmm... X, V, I, S, T, Y, etc... My guess is V will be the most popular letter in the challenge. Of course to know, someone has to add up all the letters for the challenge. With a 40k connection I'm not raising my hand! ;^)

Chinese use characters which are divided in 4 major groups: pictograms, ideopictograms, ideograms and ideophonograms.
They are not letters. Doesn't count.
Though it would be nice... cause
my profile says...

You can register him -- there is some "waiver" text previously posted which you can send in as the responsible adult to allow it -- try a forum search. We have several "younger" photographers here ... : )

There's an artist on pbase who has done two alphabets of naturally occuring letters. Pretty cool!
