that someone thought enough of my shot in a current challenge to request DQ. My first in almost two years. Thank you for thinking enough of my work to think that I might have had to cheat to create it!

Please don't think I'm being sarcastic. I kinda felt left out cause I never got a dq request before...

Next time when you feel left out, do something that will guarantee a DQ request :) I got excited about my first DQ request too.

Especially after you've won a ribbon. If you're confident enough, then maybe it will get validated, I guess the waiting is the hard part though.

Cool dude. I can appreciate the feeling, I was ecstatic when my surreal entry got a dq request.

I know how ya figure out it got a dq cause I dq'ed one of my own shots. How do ya ya know when it gets validated?

The little note under your score will change.

I finally got my very first DQ request after 96 challenges a week or 2 ago!

I have a question on this issue which maybe someone out there can render a theory on.

Of my 19 challenges so far, the view stats on 15 of them are under 100, and 3 around 200 with 274 being the highest.......except for....

...the one image I had a DQ request on has 685 views!

Why would the DQ process add that many views?

Maybe putting it in the nude gallery had some slight effect here ; )

Lucky you. I had a validation request on my light/white entry and still cant see why, I am sitting here and thinkig that I'll get one for the current challenge as well!!!!

A DQ request is good, that way it is validated and people will not vote it down because they thought you "cheated". My surrealism was voted down (other than taste, which I can understand) because some people thought over-editing/breaking the rules which wasn't the case. But they never requested a DQ . . .

How long before you get the little validated stamp after you send them the RIGHT file? I think I sent them the photoshop file by mistake...

5 and a half hours later, should I be nervous yet? Just wonderin'....
03/30/2005 01:22:28 PM · #14
I think mine took about 72 hours! I had to resubmit my processing steps after about 48 hours. It did finally get validated.
03/30/2005 02:48:47 PM · #15
Mine happened very late the same night (12 hours or so after submitting). It all depends on when the SC's are online and whether they need to vote on the image and god knows what else.
No need to worry - you'll be the first to know when they make the decision : )

I get validation requests all the time. Usually takes two or three days to get through the validation process.

Gawd I hope it don't take that long. I could use the Validated boost on my score...

hey guy's... i'm new to the site and this is my first challenge, can someone explain the DQ for me? in english that is, straight down the line from 'our' point of view.... as i did read about it in the rules, but not sure exactly what it covers..... i don't do a lot of editing, but would love to know from different people that have had one requested what the go is and why they thought their shot was picked?.....
