I won't even get into copyright issues... but I know for certain that at least two of the "photos" are digital renderings and are not actual photographs. |

edit... and after a second look, some are composites of two or more photos. |

I'm obviously way too trusting, I opened both and there are some fantastic images there. And does it really matter how they were produced? I know we're all into our photography here, but if I find an image pleasing to look at then that's fine by me. |

I went ahead and looked. Since nobody seemed to have any problems. In the first set at least two of the images are famous, and copyrighted; the bull and the flamingo. Someone's ripping off published pictures to make this presentation.

Some of these photos are taken Yann Arthus-Bertrand. check out his site at Earth From The Air
Infact i think some time back this site was on a discussion on DPC. It's a wonderful work this guy has done... while spending a lot of money.

Yeah, the flamingoes I knew were his, didn't realize the "heart of the amazon" was... I presume he's unaware of this....

Does anyone know where this link came from? How it was found?
If you type in //gpsinformation.us/ it takes you to //gpsinformation.net/ but I couldn't find a link to the images from there.

I've communicated with Yann Arthus-Bertrand's assistant, via email, sending him the link. We'll see what, if anything, they have to say.

Did you find out how these got there? They could be some school kids geography assignment for all we know.

I have no idea, but I figure it's the photographer's problem, not ours. If he's ok with it, so be it. If he isn't, he can deal with the webmaster at the GPS site. If they were my pictures, I'd want to be told about it.
