Is there water here or not?

My guess would be water. Either way it is a great shot. Did you crop any of the top off? If so I would love to see the whole tree.

Yes I did crop some off the top. Thank you for the comment.

Looks like you flipped a single shot in Photoshop. The line between the reflected parts just seems too straight and flat to be natural.

Looks to me like you took a pic, duplicated it, cropped them at a specific point, and then took the identical portion of one, flipped it and combined them in the image you've presented.

Erm, the question leads me to believe its ps'd as described above, nice shot though.

I'm going to guess no, I think that you used a mirror filter to mirror the original image.

Scalvert and Olyuzi got it right. I was trying a PS tip/trick for CS. Say you have an image that you like a portion you can do this. I happen to like the rocks and there shape and color/contrast.
1. I put the original picture in CS.
2. I Expanded the canvas below the picture the same size as the original.
3. I used the Marquise tool to outline the original picture then copy, transform vertically. Which flips the picture.
4. Slide the transformed image down on the canvas in place and dodge around the waters edge to give a darker look to the bank.
5. Then flatten the layers and adjust levels, contrast, and color. Or curves.
6. Crop of the top so the image does not appear to be as symmetrical and give it a realistic aspect ratio. In my case 1.50:1, a little over with border.

You can make it look more realistic by cloning some areas around the fake "lake line" to keep the line from being so straight and add very little ripple or blur.

Found it to be a fun trick.

WOW the picture seem to have come to life

I think you could have made it even more realistic looking if you had applied a blur filter to the bottom half of the picture.
