I just thought I would throw this out there. For those of you who sincerely feel that sometimes you are getting scored low for one reason or another, please don't think it is always the case with everyone. There are some shots in a current challenge that could be thought to be "illegal" in editing, and therefore scored lower by some people. However, sometimes I see that I just don't appreciate the artifice or perhaps the actual PHOTOGRAPHIC QUALITY in these shots, so score it lower. All I am saying is that you can't assume you scored low for the only reason YOU can see. I hope this helps when those times of confusion set in.

I think you are right Kylie. There are so many reasons that a picture may receive a low vote. I have learned to not worry about it. If my picture scores well, great some enjoyed it. If it scores average or poor then I can sit back and enjoy it. After all my work should satisfy me first and others last. |

Think away....
I think it's a known fact that many people click lower on something they think is outside of the scope of the challenge or is a DQ entry.
It's just the fact of life.

It's interesting how people take thread posts; at the time, I was thinking more of the person who assumes they have been voted low because the voters maybe think it is illegeal editing, or something else, when it is actaully just a poor photo. I see threads sometimes when people ONLY assume that is it, and never quesiton whether some just didn't like it or thought is wasn't a good quality image. This can apply to other scenarios also, as in the case where someone thinks tht just becuase they "went out of the box", that it is the only reaosn for their low score. It can be other factors, and I would just say that if you really want to improve, then think through it. |

Kylie... I thought that some of your images got scored low simply because voters can somehow sense that you are from Sacramento.
