| Very short and sweet. What are the dimensions of a wallet size photo? Can't find the answer on google. Thanks |

I think 2x3 die cut will be a bit smaller.

| 2x3? Thanks! I can't ever find the exact size on google or anywhere for that matter. they all just say "Wallet Size." |

| I looked up "Olan Mills" (a popular photo-package retailer)--could have looked up Sears Department store or some such. (Sometimes when your searching for answers you have to ask yourself who would be in the business of explaining.) |

Didn't know of anyone who would be in the business of "explaining," only people who would be in the business of photography. Thanks |

Sorry, didn't mean that to come off badly.
I just work with a lot of people who search for things.
I myself have used Google to look up a local phone # when the phone book was under my elbow--would have saved a lot of time on my part if I'd turned the question into something different. I see a trend to try and find the answers to everything on the web. And there are a lot of answers to be found here....especially among the friendly people who will tell you "2x3"--I just checked my answer before I posted to be certain I was giving you a correct answer (for the western world that works in inches and not cm--lots of assumptions on my part there).
All I meant by explaining where I got the answer, is to suggest that Google can provide "hits", but not "answers"--and both are only as good as the question.
I'm a Google Fan--but I have their advanced search link on my hot bar and never use the basic search anymore.
I work in an environment of "librarians" and "reference" people--still, because I learned something about the way to ask questions of the electronic environment, I can often blow them away by finding an answer in an enviously small amount of time (and I don't have the degrees they have).
I wasn't trying to demean you in any way--just to share what I have in my experience.
So...if you didn't know anyone who would be in the business of photography.....Did you ever have a school portrait done? Who would sell wallet pics? What is the number of your local photo developer? Maybe Walmart, K-mart, the Easter Bunny service at the mall....?
And, of course, there is nothing wrong with asking your question here....look what you can learn! :-) |
