Have yall seen MP3search.ru ? Drives me nuts when you go to buy music at most online stores now...never want to sell you mp3's; this place though sells real mp3's for 10¢ apiece. they have a fairly wide selection and the quality is never lower than 128bps. I'd like to download my old cassettes and they seem to have alot of older stuff

| I could be wrong, but I did read about legal action against one of the russion sites (I think it's the one you mentioned) with those MP3s. |

There probably has been, but the Russian government stands by their organization handling copyright issues and also by these distributors

But if you are the one dowloading, it makes you the criminal. I can sell you songs for 10 cents each, does not mean i own the copyright or have the authority to do so.
YOU are photographer, an artist - this copyright violation 'thing' affects your photographs just as much as some band's songs.

Criminal? Don't get yourself overheated...Customers must pay for the music. And what copyright violation 'thing' are you talking about?

You are right in what you are saying. If we all want to make hay while the sun shines I think the site is all good. But the initial model of Napster and even Kazaa was cool too. If you don't mind getting them for the price it's available for, it's all fine. You can get Adobe Photoshop for 30 USD or even free. |

I'm just excited by the prospect of buying real mp3s rather than the other file formats being crammed down our throats.

Yes there was - against allofmp3.com, but it was thrown out.

I joined this site a year ago, downloaded a few albums... no-one seems to have ripped off my card yet! (It was a bit worrying handing over my card details to a dodgy Russian site).
It's not actually illegal for anyone in the West to download from this site... I've looked into it. |
