just came back from the bronx zoo, figured i'd share some of my photos with u guys. havent done much processing on any of them other than resizing and a little sharpening. Lenses used: Sigma 105mm Macro, and 75-300mm Canon USM lens.

I love animal photos. These from the zoo that you took are great.
These are my four favorites (no particular order):

The one with the pink bird- He looks like he'd be a good friend--smart, friendly eager to listen, and full of good advice.

The tiger- You've gotta love the face. There's just something cool about big cats lounging around like tame housecats in a sunbeam.

The owl- He looks like he certianly knows he's beautiful. I love the crop on this one.

IMG_2303 (lonk-nosed bird walking)- He looks sinister, but in an enchanting way. It's hard to break eye contact with him.

My fiancee is a zookeeper in Alexandria, Louisiana. Some of his main responsibilities are the big cats. At work, the only camera he's armed with is his cameraphone, but he sent me some pretty neat photographs from it nontheless (I was impressed with the quality of it!). So far, I've only got two from zoo, but he says more are on the way. In case you're intrested, Click Here to See Them. His are the top two (listed as taken by Jacob Bates). My best friend also has an animal picture posted on that page, altough not from a zoo. Hers is the fourth down on the page, of two ducks. I did a bit of minor editing on all three of the pictures mentioned, but all credit goes to them as photographers.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your pictures. I really enjoyed looking at them, and would love to see more if there's more to show.

You must of had fun.....The Tiger is cool. Like them all. (Maybe a little under exposed, a little curves)?
The looks of the sky, the light probably wasn̢۪t so good, you did a good job....Thanks for sharing....ace

I liked your recent Bronx Zoo images. I was just NYC and did not get a chance to visit the Bronx Zoo. By the way I have a East River Brooklyn Bridge photo, similiar to yours. I have others as well on my own photoblog site. My Photoblog

I like the sleeping cat at top left..the tiger would be better if his eyes were in focus I think.
