If you are shooting at a nudist camp who cares where you put your lens cap.. I mean, its not like anyone is gonna steal it or they would have the same problem as you, where to hide it. If it was a serious thing and I was shooting at a nudist camp, AND had to be nude (my first choice would not to be nude) then i would keep my lens cap under my hat... yes thats right, I never take my hat off even in the shower. |

If you're at a nudist camp, there might be an obvious place where you can hang the lens cap. ;-) Actually, you could still carry some kind of bag or something that you could put it in, or maybe even use double-sided tape to attach the cap to your camera strap. Please post photos when you get back from the camp!

What you gonna do if you run into another member of the DPC community at the nudist camp?? Offer to hold their lens cap? The mind boggles... |

Is there a reason not to use a "cap keeper"? Other than you look kind of nerdy with a big lens cap dangling off your lens? |

I keep em between my butt cheeks, so they stay nice and warm. Gives the camera a special smell that keeps the bad guys away ;P

For example If I am taking photos at a nudist camp, I don't have any pockets.
My Last camera had a fixed lens, so I had a leasch from the cap to the strap ring.
Now with removeable lenses, I can't do that. |
The nudist camps we go to don't allow photography:) |
Most will allow it if you approach the camp or resort director and explain what you will be using the photos for.. (and usually you do need to have some solid reasoning). Then the director will talk to the members and find some that are willing to have their photos taken, and you can set up a shoot with them.

Mine always ends up in my pocket or I leave it in the camera bag. I've lost it many, many times always to find it somewhere nearby. I'm surprised I haven't lost it for good. (knock on wood) |

I lost my first lens cap last week. I put it in my pocket whilst taking some shots. I put it back on, and put the camera strap over my shoulder. When I got back to the car to put it in the bag it was missing, it must have popped off as I was walking...I retraced my tracks, but didn't find it :(
Was going to check to see if I can get one from canon, as my other canon lens caps don't fit my 20d 18-55mm lens.

I have one in Poland, one probably in Albany NY and one in Idaho together with my reflector.
I keep on losing them :-( |

Nope, ...no reason; just that nerdy thing.

Oddly enough I will soon find myself shooting photos at a nudist club.
However, I'll be there to photograph. I'll be keeping my clothes on.
I usually just slip the lens cap into a pocket though years ago I did have one of the lens caps with a string that attached to an elastic band that fitted around the lens body. It was OK but the dangling lens could be rather annoying so I'm happier just shoving the whole thing in a pocket.

Don't make the nudists feel uncomfortable - you know, when in rome, do as the romans do. (if you feel nekkid, just get a long wide neck strap for the camera;)
there is a nudist 'camp' near me - i thought of soliciting them for wedding photography - how that would aid my portfolio i am not sure though.

I often go nude on holidays with friends but these are not my friends and are complete strangers. I'd be going along to take pictures in a professional capacity and as such would not be expected by them to be nude nor would it be likely to make them uncomfortable as their club is not one where nudity is enforced at all times.

Hehe, this brings back memories... i'd gotten so used to my old s5000 that when i'd take off the lens cap on any other camera i'd just let go of it in mid-air and not notice, to the surprise of any onlookers :) Always got them back in the end though. |

Thank goodness my lense cap is physically attached to the camera, otherwise it would have been lost long ago.
The best part is I never loose it at nudist colonies when shooting over the fence.
