Hi All,

I just made a minor update to my site and would be interested in comments/feedback. I noticed that while I get a number of hits to my site very few people send e-mail or otherwise contact me. I therefore decided to include the ability for visitors to add a comment to images and for the comments to display as they are entered.

At the moment I have kept it very simple and not insisted on commentors being 'members' of the site. I have also not asked for e-mail addresses or names of the commentors. I am a little concerned that I may get some 'spam' comments and maybe other unwanted feedback. But I think I will wait and see what happens before tightening up the code.

any thoughts?

Thanks

Chris

As a web designer, I can say it looks great, and is efficient (which a website should be).

I wouldn't worry about spam or other unwanted messages, you usually only get those with really popular sites, (why waste time spamming hundreds when you can spam hundreds of thousands?).

Yes, very nice site - great images too!

One suggestion - make the comment button change state (either by CSS or JS to show that it is a button - both color and cursor).

Thanks Guys.... appreciate the swift feedback.. I'll refine the pages a little after a few days 'live' testing!

I'd like to add a mailer script to alert me of new comments so that I can check them out. Maybe expand the form to allow name, e-mail and perhaps URL entry also. (I'd like to be able to visit my visitors)

Very nice site ya have there! Easy to navigate and pleasing to the eye.
The "last viewed image" is a nice feature.

Some great images posted there too.
