Not quite the same as a DPC blue, BUT....

Entered this:

for "plantlife" category. Got first place!!!!!

Entered this:

for "wildlife" category. Got honorable mention!

(Note: Only 1st place for each category with 5 honorable mentions.)

Entered this:

for "cultural landscape" category. Got nothin'! (And, goes to show, this was the one I thought would win something!)

Didn't enter "natural landscape" or "people in action"--limit 3 photos for this competition.

My photos will be exhibited from May 4 to June 29! Opening reception on May 4th (for those who are interested--PM me!)

The odds were good, as it turns out, 78 photogs, 205 entries total in the 5 categories.
Still, of the 30 photos to be exhibited, 2 will be mine.

That's awesome! Congrats. Isn't that funny about the one you thought would win. That happens to me here. LOL

I love them all and must say that the tulips are my fave. :)

It happens to me here all the time too. :)
I'm really looking forward to seeing the six they chose for cultural landscape category--and darnitall, I have to wait until May 4! (DPC is great for those of us who need immediate gratification.)

Congrats! I bet you can hardly wait until May 4. Love the hens & chicks photo. Makes me laugh though because two years ago one of my "hens" grew an enormous, um, er, hmmm, phallic symbol right up the center. Maybe that's what they do? But I thought it was bizarre looking and my neighbors all laughed. I took photos and then "pruned" it back.
