I shot this before the bored challenge so I couldn't use it, how do you think it would've done? TIA

I would have given it a 5..
The picture is boring and it looks more like the girl is thinking!
But please remember that it's a very difficult mission...
My picture is 4,3 this far so...

7 or 8. Her expression says bored to me. I like the photo quality and angle also. |

I would probably score it a 6. While the lighting and overall presentation is ok, the lack of focus on the eyes really distracts. With big dark eyes like this, you want nice crisp focus on them. You might be able to lasso them and add more sharpening, but this would probably introduce other problems. Half click to focus on the eyes, then recompose and press the shutter. Portrait photography depends on clear, sharp eyes.

I would have to agree with marcus, In the idea that it looks like the girl is thinking more than she is bored. Boredom, to me, has more of a dull, sulking kind of look or expression, and is best captured when the subject is actually really bored. Perhaps have the model stand and wait for an hour until you shoot her, lol. That'd be truly natural boredom. lol.

As Terry says, it's in the eyes - though I'd disagree with him about the sharpness there (and find it hard to believe you were looking at the same photograph actually). Your 'trouble' - only as far as a bored challenge is concerned - is that her eyes look far too engaged, too bright, interested in something; that doesn't speak of boredom to me.
There seems to be a slight wide-angle barrel distortion to her features also - not a big deal, but lends the impression of having been really close, and , for me, adds a sense of unreality to the image.
Those are minor-ish points. It's a fine portrait.
