From what I gather New York is very expensive.

yeah, it is...but it's all reletive. Things cost more, but you tend to earn more. I just also tend to spend it. LOL.

I want to move to the west coast. Maybe Seattle, or Oregon. I hear it's beautiful there.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE NY, but the winter is starting to really tick me off, but good! :)

Where abouts are you?

Stephanie

Just north of Atlanta, GA. Basically I am in the sticks. A lot of country out here, people that own 1000's of acres. One day I will get out and shoot, but have to wait until school and gymnastics is over for the summer.

Were you the one giving me advice on where to go in Georgia, a few months ago? I was up in Helen for a few days in February...

It is beautiful, unfortunately there wasn't much to do, and it rained and was cold the whole time...:(

I'd love to get back there though to just drive through and stop intermittently to shoot.

That was me. Did you make it to Rock City or Ruby Falls? The best time to go to Helen is in October during Octoberfest. Lots and lots of people. I didn't give you the wrong advice did I? I would love to see some pictures you got. I put you in my favorites to check but haven't seen any yet.

Stephanie, you're right, it is beautiful around Seattle. A photographer's dream to shoot around here.

Now I'm setting here watching the clock tick ever so slowly until its time for my long drive home, where time flys by so fast.

No - you didn't give me bad advice - the travel agent flat out lied to us. Told us that the town was lively and that there were tons to do. The signs on most shop windows said, "We may be open, we may not..." Apparently, Oktoberfest is the ONLY thing they're known for. LOL. We didn't mind too badly, with my friend's allergies, we were better off leaving when we did...There was apparently a pet in our room before us, and she's highly allergic.

I did not get to Rock City...we were driving so much already, that we didn't want to make the drive to Tennessee. Another time, though.

I didn't post pics here, but you can find them at my site, under Photographs (obviously), Series, and Georgia.
//theartiststudio.crosswinds.net.

There will be larger shots up soon.

Hey Stephanie. Checked out your website and you got some good shots. Next time you plan a trip down here then make sure it is during Octoberfest. That is when everything is open in Helen. Glad you enjoyed it.

Good lord... how depressing is that... I just want to make sure I live long enough to aggravate my kids when I get older.... hehehehe (revenge... all I want is revenge... snicker, snicker...evil grin)

It most certainly is beautiful in that part of the country... I had the good fortune of visiting a very dear friend in the Seattle last summer and again this January. The places I visited and had to good fortune of photographing were breathtaking.

Would I do it again........in a flash. Hope my friend is reading this. hehehehehe.
