After 18 months of fine service, I've sold my Nikon 5400
I've sold it to a very good friend, who wanted something for very close macro work without spending the hundreds necessary to do it DSLR route, so it remains in the family, as it were.
A top little beastie it's been, too.

I really really miss my Nikon 5700! Wish I kept it as a backup camera, but had to sell it to buy expensive DSLR stuff.

Looks like you like to keep the toys in the family ;-) Good to hear cause I just did the exact same thing. My Minolta Z3 (after only 4 months) has gone to my little sister so it's in good hands and it's more than sufficient for her needs at this stage in the game.
I ended upgrading also to a 350D/XT and I'm in love.
So, moment of silence for our parted friends but we'll still be able to visit ;-)

It does appear that somebody has monopolized that page. Now you've got a fresh, clean page to own....

I rather think there may be signifficantly greater numbers of competition there, however ;-)

$60 to go the DLSR route for macro work...a M42 adapter, an M42 50mm manual lens, and some 'chinese' adapter tubes, all from ebay.
An HO scale boxcar.

details, details!
I miss the easy macro of my old Fuji, so i know where he was/is coming from. I was/am intimidate by the price of a 100mm macro lens, a one use only (well, 2 maybe) lens. ($369! a camera right there)
