First off, this is not a rant (even if I feel it could have done better ;) I was wondering how many voters did not get my version of the Penrose Triangle in the lines challenge? This was technically my most difficult submission and am thinking of reshooting after the (helpful) comments.

For those that missed it, the Triangle cannot exist as a solid object in the real world, closer inspection should reveal the 'gap'

So, did you get it?

edited to link to the pic - doh!

Got it. Loved it. But thought that it really did not invoke the essence of 'Lines'.

Yes I realize a triangle is made of lines, that the lines in the triangle are what causes the illusion. The image however says illusion, triangle, perplexedness...but to me, not lines.

I did not vote on it. Although well done technically (I see no flaws), I feel it relies more on the illusion than on the quality of the photograph to carry it. Why did you choose to make it B&W? Perhaps color would have been more interesting, not focusing the viewer's attention on the illusion aspect quite so strongly.

Thanks peeps, maybe I did put too much effort into the illusion rather than the challenge but as you say Arcanist, it does meet the challenge - but not in the right way (I'm too subtle for my own good lol). I guess I chose b&w for the grain and my face didn't look too good in colour ;)

Oh, and here was my attempt at the neverending staircase built with lego (start at the top black step and 'walk' clockwise, then try it anti clockwise)
