Yes, our constitution mandates that US president's must be native born. However, seeing an opportunity to remain in power, the Republican party -- currently the party in power of the presidency, legislature and, many say, the federal judiciary -- is toying with the idea of scrapping this from the constitution via an amendment. In case it's not clear to our international readers, Bush and Arnold are both Republicans.
Now, as a Californian -- and I won't go into a political rant, as I don't want this thread turned into one -- I did not vote for Arnold, and I do not plan on voting for him in 2006 when he runs for re-election... finally, I will not vote for him if such an amendment is ever adopted.
