Hey,
I had the pleasure of seeing a exhibit with prints made on water-color paper, I was wondering if anybody have had any experience with this, and what types they would recommend. I found some over at BH.
Thanks

Arches is good, a local art supply might have some you like. Rives is also one to look for. |

Your question reminded me of my own experimentation. If interested try this out for some serious fun.
I printed on my regular water color canvas paper (i think it was cold press 300lb or less) using my canon i9900. It was a colorful fall scene but of course the print out wasn't as bright and complete. I then painted over it using my liquid water color pigments which are concentrated and leaves bright and smudgeproof colors. The final product turned out as an amazingly beautiful hand painted picture (definitely much better than I can otherwise paint)
I later on bought an inexpensive canvas paper 10 sheets for $20 and tried out some more pictures including my favorite portrait shot " Angela" and I have to tell u , it looks AWSOME!
I will post the pictures of my experiments if that interests anyone :)
