I have no idea about the image quality... but a 6MP for $200 ain't a bad starter kit for the digi-newbie!
FOr those not familiar with Woot, they are a "one item for sale per day, and it sells for one day only". Neat idea. I check it every day just to see their special.
:D

Vivitar used to make some good lenses a few years back.
No idea what camera will be like, could be worth a gamble??
Tho, I would tend not to bother...there are better brand available under $200.

While no substitute for a DSLR, this camera has some impressive features! It has user selectable ISO 50,100 & 200; auto or manual focus settings; spot or matrix exposure; aperture priority or shutter priority; and features a tiff format setting for unprocessed images. Like to see a review of this camera!

It probably uses a tiny sensor with maybe 1.5 megapixels and interpolates. I would laugh SO hard if someone even THOUGHT of comparing it to the Digital Rebel. |

Not so. The sensor is 6.3 megapixels and 1/1.8" in size, unlike so many of the overhyped 'interpolated' el cheapo cameras.

Ok, assuming that's true, the noise from pixels that small would be unbearable. Notice that dpreview, dcresource, and stevesdigicams don't review Vivtars. They are the el cheapos.
Edit: I'd put that $200 to good use if I were you, save up for a camera you won't regret buying, such as a Canon A520 or A85.

That's the second time you've made a presumptuous (and negative) statement about a product you know nothing about. $200 is an "el cheapo" amount of money... and this is still a decent amount of camera for the money.
EDIT:
Here are some sample pics... looks pretty good to me!
