I for one will be glad to see the Surreal challenge end. I am feeling pretty bruised after this beating! |

me too. I really liked my photo and hoped to get above a 6 but it wasn't "surreal" enough for the competition. I can't argue against 300 some voters though. I always thought of surreal as dreamlike and out of reality and it felt that way to me, but not to others i guess. I learned from it though and that's all that matters. |

Mine sucked big time!
I'm prettyb sure it would have done just a tiny little bit better if advanced editing was on for this challenge.
with strings: ---------- without strings
It's just my sin. 70's entry was just a lucky shot LoL!!!

I think you got slammed for the content, rather than the quality of the photo (I didn;t get to vote on this challenge).
It is a really great photo of a leopard/cheetah (???), I really like it, but to be honest nothing about it leaps out and says "Surreal" to me about the actual image, and even with the title the link is tenuous.
Put this in an animals challenge, spots, or something like that and I could see this being in the running for a ribbon.
So, don't see it as being a reflection of your photo being poor, as it most certainly is not ... just that when you compare it to the extremes of the ribbon winners, it really is not a very surreal shot.
