Yes, many of the images in this challenge are not at all surreal, but the handful of images which did meet the challenge has yielded some very impressive golden nuggets.
I am not in goodstanding in this challenge, but I do want to congratulate the creators of these amazing images. Think, if a single challenge can produce a handful of brilliant pieces then the challenge was well worth it.
I know, many feel that to go to such length is in vain but not really. This is the reason why I love this site. It accomodates us all and we are a motley body of members. There is room for everybody and their supposed style.
So, with great admiration I tip my hat to these camera wizards that offered us this surreal entertainment.

| Hats off to the "motley DPC body" who took hold of the moon, invited us through picture frames into the sky, faced their hands and handled their faces, uncorked the clouds, and tickled the ivories without a leg (or a keister) to stand on. Creative wonders! A delicious back-to-back challenge to offset Ansel. |

I've been sitting going through the Surreal entries, blown away by the originality and creativity of many of them. I really am in awe!!!!
My mind doesn't understand surreal.....well, not with my own work. Can't usually think of ideas, then when I eventually come up with something I look at what I've done and get this luverley mental blank. Is it abstract, is it surreal!!!!! LOL Plenty of room for improvement, which is (to me) what this wonderful site is about.

Indeed, I completly agree with this motion! There have been some amazing submissions to this particuliar challenge, which really have you think and admire photography!
I'm hoping for similar inspiring challenges in the futur! |
