My membership is expiring in few days and I have around 15 bucks earned from the sales of my prints during the past whole year (eh, makes me wonder if my "photographic talent" is any good at all to bother renewing my membership.) Anyway, Just wondering if I can use that credit towards renewal payment? If so, how?
Secondly, what is the promo gift code, if any?

Promo code would be a discount code. I believe non currently. The last and possibly the only one was at the site's last anniversary.

Hey Nonage. I just browsed through your portfolio, and your photos are great. How could you think you don't have any talent? just because you dont sell doesnt mean your not talented. No one sells many photos on this site, this site is more of a Resume than anything else, it is not a good site to sell your photos on. I only put one of my photos up for sale, I don't even bother trying to sell any really. I hope you rejoin. Your photos are great. Don't get discouraged.

It is possible to use print sale revenue to pay for a full membership, but not to pay for part of it.

That's a shame because, when buying prints, one can pay part of the total price with sales revenue and part on credit card. I would think quite a few people would like to put their sales revenue towards DPC membership, even if it didn't cover the full cost?

Can this be proposed and approved?
03/15/2005 06:30:18 PM · #12
It can be proposed fairly easily (I think it's just a case of SC passing the proposal on to Drew and Langdon) but it would be up to them as to whether it were approved or not because they are the ones who would need to do the required coding to make the changes on the system...

I think...

This issue has come up before, and from what I understand, it cannot be done easily. The reason is that DPChallenge and DPC Prints use completely different payment processing systems, and the DPChallenge system is only designed to handle either a PayPal payment or a DPChallenge membership gift certificate. The system was never designed to allow multiple payment sources for a single membership, and doing so would require a complete rewrite -- and to be honest, I'm not sure how, or if, it could be integrated with PayPal.

If you contact Drew and Langdon they will generate a coupon code for you with a value equal to your existing balance.
