Okay, I have been looking hard at the rebel xt. I also looked at the 20d, but as far as I can tell one of the biggest differences to me is that the 20d has a pc-sync. I don't know much about external flashes at all. How important is this? I can see that some time in the future I might end up doing a wedding or two. I would probaly need one of those flash extender arms. How do you connect the flash to the 350xt with one of these? I assume there has to be some sort of cable. How does this work? any suggestions on models for one of these arms? Basically the question is: how easy is it to use a 550ex with the new rebel xt?

the 550EX flash fits perfectly in the hotshoe on the XT just like on any other EOS camera and the powershot G line.
the PCsync is for handheld flashes and studiolights not for cameramount flashes.
and if you want the 550Ex to be off camera you can get the ST-E2 transmitterr so the flash can be placed anywhere within 30 feets :) |

| so, in order to use an extesion arm, you have to pay $200 for the st-e2? yikes. that makes the flash pretty expensive. are there other flashes that work in different ways? |
