Woke up this morning to find that the predicted trace of snow was 3 feet deep! This photo taken this morning in my front yard. The fence is 5 feet high.

Happy shoveling! Thanks for posting the pic. Helps me to remember why I moved from Chicago.

Yeah I seen this on the news this morning.
Well not Elgordo's yard, but snow in NM.
My guess is not to many people have snowmobiles to enjoy it..

The storm went south, we only had 6 inches here and two feet in the mountains 20 mile west. Almost drought breaker. :)

I moved to Edgewood, NM (where I live now) from the Chicago area to get away from the abysmal winters. I moved back in 1972 and this is the second deepest snowfall in those 30+ years! At least I am retired and do not worry about going anywhere! I may shovel out the front gate this afternoon.

Been the snowiest winter in at least 50 years on Cape Cod, according to the long-time residents...

I'm actually enjoying it...

In the interior British Columbia we've been having a very strange winter. It snowed like crazy in January, the snowiest January in 50 years they say - then it stopped and it hasn't snowed since. The ski resort closed on Sunday, a good month ahead of schedule. We've been having above zero days for weeks. It's beautiful, in a way, but strange.
