This is a picture I did for my Language of Photography class. The professor liked it but I was hopeing to get some other opinions on it.

It's a bit blurry.

Composition wise, as a candid it is interesting. If it's meant as a portait, it would be better with a plain background (Maybe against a wall or plain curtain).

I would recommend playing around with lighting. Try different combinations from above, left, right, behind. This could add to a good BW portrait.

Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps.

The subject is centered
The focus is on the wall be hind her
Lack of tonal range
Pose and facial expression seem to say she didn't want the photo taken
Camera angle and height make it appear to be a quick snapshot

What is it you were trying to convey with the image? And what is it the professor likes about it?

The teacher stated that as compared to my other pictures, that he had seen, he thought this one was less observational. The assingment weas to capture a certain human body part, I got the heart, I had a ratyher difficlut time since I was usieng a digital camera and I was hopeing to do this picture with out editing it. as it was I had to ligdhten it and erase a oject from the picture that distracted from the subject. I have ne other picture i am going to post, that was from this class I just have not put it online yet.
