Distillery District is supposed to be good. Have never shot there myself though.

Hmmmm, how long do you suppose it takes to drive up there from Philadelphia?

Since I found this site, I have been considering hosting a Philly trip for everyone interested, when the weather gets a bit warmer. Right now, all the nice places to shoot are covered with black (from car exhaust) snow, and aren't very attractive. I'd love to have a bunch of people come down here, and I'd be glad to stuff whomever in my apartment for the weekend or whatever. I'm going to see if anyone might be interested in driving to Toronto with me, and I'd love to come up there. If so, I'll post back and take it from there.

After a careful recount... we have a tie for three places...
Distillery District (opens at 11 am)
The Zoo (opens 9:30 am)
Downtown (opens 24/7)

//www.thedistillerydistrict.com/
//torontozoo.com/

It is school break, so there may be be lots of families at the Zoo.

My two cents:
I understand that the Distillery District are a collection many buildings that we can walk around at any time. Also, I just called the Coffee house and they open at 7am (good place to meet). I would be happy with any location. My one reservation about the zoo is the $18.00 admission price that might limit attendance.

Thank you for looking into this :) Any coffee place is welcome, especially if its chilly outside. My hesitation with the distillery district was that it opened later, but this helps immensely.
As for the Zoo. Yes there is an admission fee but it is worth it is you wish to take animal and people pictures. Friday, Apr. 15 to Sunday, Apr. 24 Creativity and Innovation week is a time that maybe better for us to go as a group, and who better to be creative than a group of photographers? If enough go, we may be eligible for a group rate.

ok,
SATURDAY MARCH 19th at 9:30 am
The Distillery District
Maps and info on the Distillery District
We will meet at Balzac's Coffee House.
{you can call them at 416.207.1709 then hit option 1 for directions to it}
at 9:30 am. This will give us a short time before the buildings open. We can decide then if anyone is interested to later do downtown and Front St.
