Man am I happy. Got my Canon Powershot S1 IS today. Yes I went from a 4MP camera to a 3MP camera. I done this because of the ability to zoom. Was going to buy a 350XT but decided to landscape my yard and couldn't do both. So I bought this baby instead. Can't wait to take some shots with it this weekend. Bought it on www.buydig.com. Excellent service got it one day before scheduled delivery. Great price to boot.

Nice! Yep I too looked at that camera, 640x480 motion cap, and yes the reach with IS... sounds like a fun camera, Congratulations!

Congrats on your new camera - I have it also, great zoom and the IS is a definite benefit. I think you'll have fun with it

Once I get the money to buy a DSLR this will be my carry all. Now to give the wife the A80 and get her into it.

Sounds like a plan. Good choice on the S1 IS.

You have got to straighten out your priorities! OK feeding and clothing the child comes first, then the mortage, but camera gear has to be next. I belive Jefferson said " I buy books, if there is anything left over I buy food and clothing" but who has time to read with all the cool photography toys there are these days;)
