I'm in a bit of jam here. I need to upload photos for my friends to view and mailing over a dialup takes eons. I want to upload them and I tried flickr.com but it has a limit of only 10mb permonth. Which sucks.

Any suggestions?

Try smugmug.com. It's cheap and virtually unlimited in capacity.

yeah well if I could there wont be any other place I'd look. This is the best place but I cant afford it right now. Hence the hue and cry for a free site

try //www.ofoto.com

Try //www.pbase.com
It is very easy to use. You can password protect entire galleries, or just individual images. I use it to upload event photography for people to proof and order prints. They like the fact that it is password protected.
Here is a link to my galleries there (I have numerous non-password galleries you can look at to get a feel for it):

You can look at PBase it allows multiple directories, password protection and lets you use CSS to dress your galleries up. Plus you do not have to put up with banners and ads.

The last I looked I think it was $23 a year for 200mb and you can buy additional storage above that. And you can upload your images in a zip file.

Until I joined PBase, I used Yahoo. I think it has a pretty decent quick and easy online album to use for free. I used it for several sets of photos that I wanted to share with others.

Here are some of mine:

Ofoto is real good for this. Also I have a friend that uses www.ballofdirt.com and says it works real good.

Ofoto has software that you can download that will upload a lot of photos at once and will probably fit your needs well.

Be mindful that Ofoto may start removing images that have not been printed in like 6 months. That used to be their policy, anyway.

They haven't removed any of mine

The other thing about PBASE is you can try it out for free. I think you can only have one gallery, but the free space isn't bad either.
