I'm only 50% kiwi...my mother tought me this song 45 years ago. This most beautiful rendition is so lovely, I thought that I'd share.

I am so pleased that you enjoyed this.

Mum died 4 years ago and by pure coincidence, I came across this wonderful recording on "Mother's day". I cried as only a 50 year old can when I first listened to it.

 Thanks for commenting

My old music teacher taught me that the best "music" is made when a simple tune is played beautifully. I think that this truth applies to all art...including the one that we share here.

 Thanks for the hug.

		| She has an amazing voice! We used to sing that song at school many moons ago too :) Kiri te Kanawa does a good opera version of it as well, have you heard it? |

I love the movie. I rented the DVD, recommended it to all my friends and bought it to see it again. I wish they would show it on screen here. It was an amazing experience to sit through the movie. Fantastic film indeed. |

Did you feel a little blurry eyed when she was giving her speech on the stage? |

On the topic of Kiwi music... These guys (Fat Freddys Drop) have got to one of the best bands coming out of NZ right now.. i think they just toured Europe late last year, and got a huge response in Germany... perhaps cause there seems to be heaps of Kiwis over there (if this site is anything to go by).
