WE ARE IN HELL..It's our job to make the best out of life on earth and find our own Heaven. We must suffer on earth and pass most of our trials and tribulations so our next life is determined by our previous life. Live good and be good people, or your next life will be a living hell !!!

Only the dead see the end of War

Yeah! The afterlife! Cool! My daughter got sucked into her closet once...the only way we could talk to her was through the TV...and then a tree tried to eat my son....and.....and.....this strange little fat woman came over and they all appeared again covered in red goo from the ceiling....and....and.....no one is believing me are they??

Yeah, but what we really want to know is:

How many left-handed Mac users who have won ribbons believe in the afterlife?

Sure I believe in an afterlife... the arguements are all too compelling for me not to believe an afterlife exists.

How about this...

We are in hell right now. A place littered with lyers, cheaters, murderers, and rapists along with hate, pain, suffering, and so on. When one dies, if they have lived as a Christian (or whatever your belief is) and are deserving of heaven, their soul is put to final rest and is no longer. If, however, you were evil and not deserving in that place, your soul must carry on here (in hell) to face the plagues, disease, death, and sorrow that the world is full of -- so your soul is reincarnated into another body.

That would explain a lot of things.

Life is one long journey, death is just a part and a continuation of that journey.

Whenever I have random thoughts that don't flow extremely well, I feel the need to present them like Blaise Pascal...

1. I listen to a beautiful song. I drive through the city and look at people. I feel love for them in a way that is unexplainable and in a way that can never be expressed here on earth.

2. I dream emotions that don't exist in an earthly context.

3. I hate the evil in this world...I don't think we're in hell now but I do think that hell has reign here at this time.

4. I can feel that I was not meant to be as I am now. I am torn, but ultimately I feel much more spiritual than this world can explain. I feel like a stranger here.

5. everything jesus said about the future fits...so i trust him...

so anyway, yeah...i believe that our lives are eternal, and that death ushers in new things...

Hebrews 9:27 It is appointed once for a man to die, and then the judgement.

Either someone stood in our place to pay the penalty for our rebellion against God, or we will have to pay the price ourselves. Jesus Christ is the only one we can trust to have endured the wrath of God on our behalf.

The afterlife will consist of either eternal joy with God, or eternal punishment for our disobedience.

i think there is a heaven and a hell
i do NOT THINK that heaven is a city with gold walls and sidewalks, and hell is a burning pit. I think these are things to give us a visual picture for something we can't visualize.

I think God is love.
Heaven is with God, i.e. in total love
Hell, is without God, ie. no love AT ALL.

what about the big blink ?
one moment you are 'here' & then you are not

not here, not anywhere ...
it's like turning off the vacuum ..
it just stops

put it a frame of reference
try to forget everything that anyone has ever told you about 'afterlife'
because you can be sure they have no experiance ...
stories are just that -stories-

believe what you wish .. we won't beable to compare notes afterwords ...

So let me make sure I've got this right..."if you are a Christian (or whatever your belief is) and deserving of heaven..." You mean I don't have to be a Christian to get to heaven? What if my believes are that man is bad and I am sent to judge them and will kill all evil people, does that mean cause of my beliefs I will go to heaven?

God has given us the ONLY way to heaven when He sent us His son, Jesus, to die for us. You can't get to heaven by just believing it is there, or being good, or doing good deeds. You must accept the greatest gift ever given to man and love Him and live for Him to enter heaven. Hell is not earth, at least God did not create it to be, we have made our lives so full of "other stuff" that it has become our own hell. If we would slow down and get back to living for God unstead of trying to live the fullest best lives we'd all be better off...no wonder biblical people lived for hundreds of years, they didn't have stress killing them.

He who dies with the most toys wins, but he who dies with Christ...LIVES!

I believe in life after our time on Earth. Although raised Christian, I have found Christianity very hard to grasp. I am not much of an easy answer, black/white person - I see many gray areas. Still, after much growing, contemplation and - yes, prayer, I have a strong Christian faith. I believe in heaven and hell, but I also question those who say they "know" the answers to things like that. I believe in God, I believe in Jesus' death and resurrection for us, and I believe in eternal life.

If you ask me to "prove" it, I couldn't. I could only tell you why I believe.

I try my best to figure out what I believe and why, but I'll be the first to admit that ya know, I just might be wrong. I don't think so - obviously - but we won't know those answers for sure until it's too late to change our current position or beliefs.

It's an interesting question and discussion.

I think that when you die it is the end. Nothing after that, it will not get better or worse once you are dead. You just have got to make the best of it now, the reward for that will also come now, not when you are dead.

And someone was telling me not to make this a religious debate. This one's headed for the rant heap in a hurry.

I totally believe in it!

My mom swears that the day her mother died that she came to see her on last time before moving on to heaven.

And

Shortly after my Father in Law died my daughter who was 2 at the time was coloring. She looked directly over my husbands shoulder and said, "How does this one look Pepaw???"

There was a thread a while back in the dpreview forums, the D70 forum if I remember correctly, and some guy took a picture of his daughter in a school play with a black background, pushed the exposure a few stops, and got a very detailed face of an old woman.

The night my brother died, who had been a parapelegic for the prior 18 years, he came to me in a dream all golden with a perfect body and told me not to worry about him because he was fine. I didn't find out he actually died that night until my sister called me late the next morning.
