lol. me too. This one is a big one for me. A lot of work went into it. Hopefully I'll do more than my usual middle of the road. Time to quit messing around and just wait for the first vote.

The paramters are so welllaid out that it's actually possible to look at your image and see where it falls short, and try to fix it. Most challenges are much more nebulous. This notwithstanding the usual naysayers who are advocating color, high contrast, and the like, it's possible to LOOK at some Adams images and judge our own against them.
So we keep seeking perfection. In my case, it's a matter of trying to tune the 640-pixel image to be faithful on the average monitor...

Whoever it is who is suddenly voting really low on the last minute of the "Passing Time" challenge, would you PLEASE go work on your Adams submission instead. Thank you. |

Not submiting to this one!
Don't think I'm skilled enough (as a photographer and as an image editor) to participate!
But I'll sure have a great time voting!

I wasn't gonna submit to this one myself. After all, emulating others usually isn't my cup o' tea. However, after thinking about it a bit (and thinking about the true pioneer that AA was) I realized it was more of a technical challenge than we've had in a while. Those are my favorite types of challenges as they make you concentrate on your techniques.

I think they sleep all week so they can come out to play during the first hour of voting.

Didn't submit. Lousy weather this week. Can't wait to see them. Good luck all of you who submitted. |
