Ok..probably not what you expected? Still, I don't know about your part of the world, but around here these "Superman" phone booths are pretty much extinct. I passed this one in town the other day and knew I'd have to come back for a PaD. I didn't even notice the entire setting until I got there today.

I loved the yellow and blues that just go perfectly with the phone booth - not to mention the shadows and all the square/rectangular shapes. I went for the phone booth but was really pleasantly surprised by the "pluses." This is what I mean when I say doing photography helps you "see" things. Wouldn't have paid any attention to this before, I'm sure. I really rather like it, but would appreciate your comments on composition, processing, etc. (I will say that there were two large telephone poles close by, so it was tricky to get something interesting.)

This is an awesome picture! If it were mine I would:
1) loose the sign in the top right of window of booth
2) Clone out the incoming line on the top left of booth
3) There is something distracting in the lower left window of the booth
4) Clean up around the bottom of the booth - Grass and dirt on the side of the booth

Love the shadows! They are a classic!

I would love to get a copy to post process for kicks

Amazing photo - how you ever found it I will never know!

If I were you, I would not do a thing to it except maybe print it, frame it, and hang it on the wall.

Superb colors, and the composition looks fine to me.

ebertdj: Thanks for the comments. I appreciate your opinion, but I also considered those things and decided to leave those in. I think it places it in context a little bit (not the best part of town), and adds a bit of interest to the shot. I did, however, clone out a few bits of litter around the bottom of the booth.

richterrell: Thanks! :)

The more I look at it the more I would agree - It's looking great just as is!

It's amazing how you can look through different eyes when you are constantly thinking of the photo - Drives me nuts sometimes - but I love it!

I'm glad some other folks seem to like it. :) I'm sure my family thinks I'm nuts for taking a photo of a phone booth.

I know what you mean. They are fairly rare around here. I love your one, the colours are just awesome. I wonder if they painted the wall to match the phone booth? I like the compostition. I also love how bright it is.

Here is mine from a while ago.
