I work for a law firm (although not in a legal aspect) and I often get asked to take pictures of clients who come in.
The cameras we use are digital but definitely at the lower end of the quality range.
Anyway, it's important to get a decent capture of any scars and other damage done to the body.
Usually I will take the client outside to the front of the building to use natural light.
But sometimes it's raining or the scar could be on "personal" part of the body.
So I suggested that they make one of the conference rooms able to transform into a makeshift studio.
All I'm thinking of is getting some blinds for the window and some inexpensive lights that will best show the scars.
Are those "natural light" bulbs any good?
Or does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could use?
Thank you very much

I use to do that stuff. You don't need a studio. An on camera flash will work fine. The trick is to use hot towels over the scar for about 10 minutes before you take the photo. Makes them look red. I am surprised though that the courts will allow ditigal images with out image verification software. Canon is the only one that I am aware of that has it and it is only avaliable for the 1D, 1DS and the 20D. All 3 cameras have a special function that will prove that the photo has not been altered. Talk the firm into getting you at least the 20D and the Data Veficication Kit.
