I played with my 1970s entry by adding the backround, wanted to see if i can get some feedback on it. any noticeable flaws? something missing?

Nice job on adding the background! I really like the redux, the new BG definitely adds impact, IMO.

Beautiful Background! Really adds impact and context to your picture.
How did you manage to transfer the hair onto the new background without making it look fake? Nice job!

Yes, how did you do the hair? I wondered that too when I saw it. |

i selected the whole body and pasted it onto the new BG. then i cut out the white BG and most of the hair (except the one near the scalp) and made a new object of it. I used the multiplication mode on this object, which made everything that is bright transparent, and everything that is dark normal. It got rid of the white, and made the hair visible. Then i did some spot editing because the hairs from the two object were a different tint (you can actually still see a slight difference, but it was the best i can do), then played with the borders of the body to remove any imperfections from the copy-paste.
I tried a number of different ways before i discovered this one. been trying since i took the picture whenever i had time. glad to have finaly achieved one that looks realistic |
