I ask this as I generally have my S7000 set to 12mp giving a file size of4048x3040. having been required to send my photo for validation I found that it was too big to transmit on Email so I had to rezise it down. should I take my photoos on a smaller MP setting, sounds strange but remember I'm 1 dumb kiwi!!!!! |

You should generally use the highest resolution that your camera provides. With the Fuji's it's debatable, though, whether you get much benefit at all from the 12Mpx output size; you mayfind that you lose not detail at all by setting it to output 6Mpx files.
As far as subission of originals, since you are uploading, not e-mailing, there is no file size limit. We regularly receive RAW files that are in excess of 6MB.

thanks, I read feviews that suggested that the 12mp was the best setting and I have been getting 11x14 prints no problems, My concern was with getting the file to Sc the first one seemed not to arrive and I assumed size was a problem |

The first file was definitely truncated, but I don't believe the size was the issue. You will probably get yet another re-request, since the reduced-size file will not be an original. BTW, I can verify that that one came through OK.
