Last night was my first chance to photo a gig, it was good as I a free run of a balcony area (was able to set up my Tripod).
All the photos are with my Canon 70-200mm F4 L @ ISO 800.

these are very nice i've try gig photography soooo much harder than it looks good work

Hey Matt, overall nice work. Some shots look a bit blurry, did you use a tripod for all of them? Live gigs are hard to shoot period! Would you use a tripod again? |

The main problem I had was the dark light, working at F4 and this meant a slow shutter speed causing slight blurring. The tripod definitely helped but I think a F2.8 lens would have helped even more.
I would use a tripod again (space permitting). The group shot (the most blurred) was taken hand held. If i did not have the tripod or the space I would have used my Canon 50mm 1.8 II and got a lot closer to the stage (this time I didn't want to get in the way of people watching).

Gig photo's are, basically photo's of a Pop/Rock Concert.
